Introducing dClimate Labs: Infrastructure for a Resilient Planet

Introducing dClimate Labs: Infrastructure for a Resilient Planet

Climate risk is no longer a distant threat—it’s embedded in every supply chain, every asset, and every investment decision we make today. The challenge? Our global systems are operating on fragmented, outdated, and inconsistent climate data. The world needs infrastructure—not just insight—to navigate the climate transition with precision.

That’s why we built dClimate Labs.

dClimate Labs is building the world’s first commercial AI-powered digital twin of Earth—EarthOS—a planetary intelligence system designed to power actionable, real-time climate insights across nature, agriculture, and asset risk. By unifying climate, environmental, and satellite-based data into a common modeling framework, we are creating the foundation for how climate risk is priced, managed, and monetized at global scale.

The Vision: From Fragmentation to Foundations

While many climate platforms focus on one narrow slice of the problem—carbon monitoring, weather forecasts, agtech—we took a different approach. We built the infrastructure first.

EarthOS brings together trillions of environmental observations and powers three flagship platforms:

  • CYCLOPS: A digital MRV (measurement, reporting, verification) platform built to support nature-based project developers and natural capital investors with rigorous, real-time monitoring of forests, soil, and ecosystem performance. Already being used to power next-generation credit issuances, CYCLOPS supports the full project lifecycle—from sourcing and due diligence to credit issuance and verification.
  • Aegis: An AI underwriter and asset risk simulator that enables institutional investors and insurers to model the financial impacts of floods, droughts, wildfires, and other hazards at both asset and portfolio level. Aegis helps institutions plan, price, and mitigate physical climate risk with precision.
  • Siren: A real-time alert and forecasting engine for commodity supply chains, energy infrastructure, and extreme weather volatility. With hyper-local modeling and impact forecasts, Siren incorporates cutting-edge AI weather forecasting to help clients stay ahead of disruptive events before they strike.

Together, these products create a single climate intelligence stack built on shared infrastructure and reinforced by our foundation modeling approach.

Why EarthOS Matters

At the core of dClimate Labs is a scientific breakthrough: self-supervised AI foundation models trained on global environmental data, capable of learning patterns, predicting change, and detecting anomalies without requiring human labels.

This means:

  • Better climate modeling at scale
  • Sharper insight into climate exposure and risk
  • A system that continuously improves as more data is ingested

EarthOS enables us to move beyond one-size-fits-all datasets or model outputs. We deliver targeted, spatially consistent, and decision-ready intelligence tailored to the sectors that need it most—carbon finance, food security, infrastructure resilience, and financial risk.

Real-World Impact, Right Now

We’re already working with top-tier partners across carbon markets, environmental finance, and insurance to bring our tools into active deployment. These include large project developers, asset managers, energy producers, commodity traders, and agribusinesses focused on climate resilience and disclosure.

With use cases ranging from certifying mangrove carbon credits to forecasting wildfire losses to modeling methane emissions in rice paddies, the applications are diverse—but unified by one thing: trustworthy, transparent infrastructure.

Meet the Team: Experience Meets Innovation

Led by a globally respected team across climate science, remote sensing, commodities, and machine learning, the dClimate Labs leadership brings decades of experience to the table.

  • Jon Pierre, CEO, is a veteran of the global commodities markets with deep expertise in quantitative finance, satellite intelligence, and environmental risk. Formerly CEO of Mantle Labs and a senior energy and agriculture trader at Mercuria, Hartree, and Citi.
  • Dr. Clement Atzberger, CSO, is one of the world’s foremost remote sensing scientists and the architect of our self-supervised modeling approach. A former university professor and Cambridge Fellow, he has authored over 150 scientific publications.
  • Our team includes PhDs, Earth observation scientists, economists, engineers, and former operators from top hedge funds, insurers, and multilateral organizations—all united by a shared mission: building the future of planetary intelligence.

What’s Next?

We are actively expanding our product capabilities, onboarding new enterprise clients, and supporting a new generation of nature-based and resilience-focused solutions. Our infrastructure is built to support global compliance regimes, voluntary carbon markets, natural capital investment, and adaptation planning.

In the months ahead, we’ll be releasing:

  • Technical papers on our foundation models and AI architecture
  • Public launch of new modules within CYCLOPS and Aegis
  • Stories from our partners on how dClimate Labs is helping them manage real climate risk, in real time
