dClimate Launches dClimate Labs to Deliver Full-Stack Climate Intelligence Solutions Across Nature, Commodities, and Climate Risk

New York, NY — June 18, 2025 — dClimate today announced the official launch of dClimate Labs, a new enterprise product company built to translate dClimate’s open infrastructure into scalable, trusted tools for real-world climate intelligence. dClimate Labs will serve as the product engine of the dClimate ecosystem, offering a suite of high-performance platforms for natural capital and agricultural supply chains, energy markets, and physical climate risk analysis. At its core, the Labs product stack is powered by EarthOS, a unified environmental intelligence operating system that integrates advanced modeling, satellite analytics, machine learning and AI into a modular foundation for climate-scale applications.
The launch of dClimate Labs marks a significant evolution in the dClimate ecosystem. Rather than a departure, it reflects the maturation of a vision long held by the founding team: to develop a globally accessible, transparent data infrastructure while simultaneously delivering practical, enterprise-ready products that meet the growing needs of project developers, investors, corporates, and policymakers. By establishing dClimate Labs as an independent but closely integrated layer, dClimate is sharpening the focus of its infrastructure network while unlocking the full commercial potential of its research, data pipelines, and modeling capabilities.
As part of the founding team, Jon Pierre and Dr. Clement Atzberger lead Labs in the roles of CEO and Chief Scientific Officer respectively, bringing world-leading expertise in climate intelligence. They are joined at dClimate Labs by a core group of accomplished scientists, quantitative modelers, and remote sensing specialists who previously formed the carbon division at Mantle Labs, a UK-based geospatial analytics firm. This team brings decades of combined experience in academic research and operational deployment of remote sensing technologies across nature-based climate solutions.
Under the leadership of Mr. Pierre and Dr. Atzberger, dClimate Labs has rapidly advanced its product roadmap, deepened its scientific foundation, and broadened its capacity to serve enterprise clients navigating the complex intersection of environmental data, financial risk, and regulatory compliance. The integration of this high-caliber team has already generated significant momentum, solidifying dClimate Labs as a category-defining platform in climate data and infrastructure.
Jon Pierre brings nearly two decades of global experience across commodity markets, structured finance, and satellite-based analytics. Prior to joining dClimate Labs, he held senior positions at Mercuria and Hartree, built global agriculture and energy trading businesses, and led Mantle Labs in delivering remote sensing-driven analytics for carbon and nature markets. At Labs, he is leading the commercialization and strategic deployment of the company’s core platforms.
“At dClimate Labs, we’re delivering cutting-edge, science-grade solutions that unlock a new era of intelligence for commodities markets, reinsurers, and natural capital investors,” said Jon Pierre, CEO of dClimate Labs. “By fusing satellite-based analytics with advanced AI and climate modeling, we provide the clarity and foresight these sectors need to manage volatility, meet compliance, and future-proof their portfolios. This is climate intelligence, engineered for real-world risk.”
Dr. Clement Atzberger is one of the world’s most distinguished scientists in quantitative remote sensing and environmental modeling. A former full professor of Geomatics and Remote Sensing in Vienna, and a Visiting Fellow at Cambridge University, Dr. Atzberger has authored over 150 research publications and developed key innovations in satellite data processing and AI-based land monitoring. He is the architect behind several core components of EarthOS, including its self-supervised learning framework and environmental digital twin architecture.
“With Labs, we’re embedding scientific excellence into commercial products—making advanced geospatial modeling not only scalable, but trustworthy,” said Dr. Clement Atzberger, Chief Scientific Officer of dClimate Labs. “Our foundation models and self-supervised learning architecture give users a level of accuracy and transparency unmatched in today’s climate software market.”
Together, they are building a company designed to meet the moment: a world demanding scalable, scientifically rigorous, and transparent systems for measuring and managing climate risk.
The dClimate Labs product suite includes three core platforms:
CYCLOPS is a full-stack digital MRV and nature monitoring platform that supports the entire lifecycle of nature-based climate solutions—from project screening and (pre)feasibility through to credit issuance, compliance monitoring, and long-term landscape observation. It is capable of supporting all major nature project types and methodologies, including afforestation and reforestation, improved forest management, forest conservation (REDD+), mangroves, wetlands, regenerative agriculture, and methane reduction. CYCLOPS leverages its proprietary satellite-derived foundation models, dynamic baselining, and change detection technologies, offering high-accuracy insights with full traceability.
Aegis is Labs’ physical climate risk platform, providing impact-adjusted assessments across heat, drought, flood, and other environmental perils. Designed for investors, insurers, and corporations, Aegis enables transparent climate risk disclosure, asset-level stress testing, and portfolio rebalancing based on science-driven forecasts. It is particularly useful for compliance with frameworks like CSRD, SEC, and TCFD.
Siren offers a real-time alert and forecasting engine for commodity supply chains, energy infrastructure, and extreme weather volatility. With hyper-local modeling and impact forecasts, Siren incorporates cutting-edge AI weather forecasting to help clients stay ahead of disruptive events before they strike. Given the rise of renewables in the power grid and increasing impacts of volatile weather on global agriculture, Siren provides critical insights to participants across these key sectors.
All three products are built on EarthOS, a modular, scalable operating system developed in-house to serve as the digital foundation for environmental data infrastructure. The uncertainties associated with each processing step are meticulously traced within each of the three offerings, guaranteeing science-grade results.
EarthOS enables seamless integration of time-series satellite data, environmental models, AI modeling pipelines, and geospatial analytics into tools that scale globally. It is the connective tissue between the dClimate network’s open infrastructure layer and the Labs enterprise application layer, allowing for interoperability, data provenance, and scientific consistency across all product verticals, while offering Labs the possibility to flexibly respond to customer and market needs.
“With dClimate Labs, we’re taking everything we’ve built at the protocol level and making it directly usable by those shaping the climate economy—whether they’re issuing carbon credits, managing agricultural supply chains, or disclosing physical climate risks,” said Osho Jha, co-founder and CEO of dClimate. “Labs isn’t a departure from dClimate—it’s a manifestation of our core vision: open, reliable infrastructure, paired with powerful, actionable tools.”
With a strong foundation, proven leadership, and an expanding portfolio of products, dClimate Labs is poised to play a foundational role in shaping the future of nature intelligence and risk infrastructure.
