dClimate Data Update
The dClimate data infrastructure is rapidly growing, with new datasets being added every week.
The infrastructure currently includes data that is standardized and prepared for institutional use, including satellite data and data covering perils such as snow, wind, rainfall, and temperature. Some highlights of the infrastructure to date:
- Coverage spanning the entire world
- Data from more than 50 million+ grid points
- Data from over 120,000 stations around the world
- Satellite data
- Standardized and ready for institutional use, and currently available via a FREE API.

VHI: Vegetation Health index
Range and Coverage: Updated monthly, covers most major world land masses.
Prismc-tmax-daily: The PRISM Climate Group gathers climate observations from a wide range of monitoring networks, applies sophisticated quality control measures, and develops spatial climate datasets to reveal short- and long-term climate patterns. The resulting datasets incorporate a variety of modeling techniques and are available at multiple spatial/temporal resolutions, covering the period from 1895 to the present. The grid cells analyzed are the standard PRISM 4km. Rather than calculating days based on the 24-hour period ending at midnight local time, PRISM defines a ‘day’ as the 24 hours ending at 12:00 Greenwich Mean Time (GMT, or 7:00am Eastern Standard Time). This means that PRISM data for May 26, for example, actually refers to the 24 hours ending at 7:00am EST on May 26.
Range and Coverage: Daily, USA
Era5_land_2m_temp-hourly: ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 4 to 7 decades. Currently data is available from 1950. ERA5 provides hourly estimates for a large number of atmospheric, ocean-wave and land-surface quantities. Data has been regridded to a regular lat-lon grid of 0.25 degrees for the reanalysis and 0.5 degrees for the uncertainty estimate
Range and Coverage: Monthly, All landmasses
Era5_wind_100m_u-hourly: ERA5 is the fifth generation ECMWF reanalysis for the global climate and weather for the past 4 to 7 decades.
Range and Coverage: Daily, Whole World
